Spin alignment of excited projectiles due to target spin-flip interactions

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁹Be(⁶Li, X), E=36.6 MeV/nucleon; ⁹Be(⁷Be, X), E=65.2 MeV/nucleon, [⁶Li, ⁷Be secondary beams from ⁹Be(¹⁶O, X), E=150 MeV/nucleon primary reaction]; measured particle spectra, angular distributions of reaction products using HiRA array of ΔE-E telescopes at NSCL-MSU facility; deduced sequential breakup of projectiles, spin alignments, and molecular structure of ⁹Be.
