Electron capture decay of 58-min ²²⁹₉₂U and levels in ²²⁹₉₁Pa

RADIOACTIVITY ²²⁹U(EC)[from ²²⁹Th(α, 4n) and ²³⁰Th(³He, 4n)]; measured Eγ, Iγ, E(x ray), I(x ray), E(ce), I(ce), γ(x ray)-, γγ-coin, half-life of ²²⁹U ground state. ²²⁹Pa; deduced levels, J, π, conversion coefficients, multipolarity, EC feedings, logft, Nilsson configurations. Discussed splitting of 5/2+ and 5/2- doublet and signature of octupole deformation. Comparison with shell-model calculations of level structure in ^229,231Pa. ²²⁵Th, ²²¹Ra(α)[from ²²⁹U -> ²²⁵Th α decay chain]; measured Eγ, Iγ, E(ce), I(ce). ²¹⁷Rn, ²²¹Ra; deduced levels, conversion coefficients, multipolarity.
