Lifetime measurements of the yrast 8⁺ and 9⁺ states in ⁷⁰As

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁹Be(⁷⁸Rb, ⁷⁰As), E=101.6 MeV/nucleon, [secondary ⁷⁸Rb beam from ⁹Be(⁷⁸Kr, X), E=150 MeV/nucleon primary reaction]; measured Doppler corrected Eγ, Iγ, γγ-, (⁷⁰As)γ-coin, level half-lives by line-shape analysis using A1900 fragment separator, S-800 spectrometer, and SeGA array at NSCL-MSU facility. ⁷⁰As; deduced levels, J, π, B(E1), B(M1), configuration. Comparison of B(M1) values for ⁶⁶Ga, ⁷⁰As, ⁷⁴Br, ⁷⁸Rb and ⁸²Y with predictions of particle-vibration coupling model.
