Reinvestigation of high spin states and proposed octupole correlations in ¹⁴⁷Ce

RADIOACTIVITY ²⁵²Cf(SF); measured Eγ, Iγ, triple- and four-fold γγ-coin using Gammasphere detector array at LBNL facility. ¹⁴⁷Ce; deduced high-spin levels, bands, B(E1)/B(E2) ratios, octupole correlations. Comparison with reflection-asymmetric shell-model calculations. Systematics of octupole band structures in ¹⁴⁵Ba, ¹⁴⁷Ce, and ¹⁴⁹Nd.
