Transition from collectivity to single-particle degrees of freedom from magnetic moment measurements on 8238Sr44 and 9038Sr52

NUCLEAR MOMENTS 82,90Sr, 78,86Kr; measured precession angles, g factors of first 2+ and 4+ states, second 2+ state in 78Kr by transient-field technique in Coulomb excitation and α-pickup reaction at K500-TAMU cyclotron facility. Comparison with shell-model calculations and previous experimental results. Systematics of g factors of first 2+ states in even-even nuclei with Z=30-48, N=30-70. Discussed proton subshell closures at Z=38 and Z=40.

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 12C(78Kr, 8Be), (78Kr, 78Kr'), E=249.6 MeV; 12C(86Kr, 8Be), (86Kr, 86Kr'), E=258.0, 266.6, 275.2 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, Eα, Iα, particle spectra, αγ-, (particle)γ-coin, angular correlations, precession angles, particle yields at Texas A-M cyclotron facility. 78,86Kr, 82,90Sr; deduced levels, g factors. Comparison with shell-model calculations and previous experimental results.
