Determining the strength of undetectable particle-hole configurations by complete spectroscopy of negative parity states in 208Pb

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 208Pb(p, p'), E near IAR in 209Bi at 14.8-18.1 MeV; 207Pb(d, p), E=22.0 MeV; measured Ep, Ip, σ(Eres, θ), excitation functions using Q3D magnetic spectrometer at MLL-Garching facility. 208Pb; deduced levels, J, π, particle-hole configurations, configuration strengths, configuration mixing between natural and unnatural parity states. DWBA analysis. Comparison with shell-model calculations for negative-parity states, and with evaluated data in NDS-2007 or ENSDF database.
