Intermediate-energy Coulomb excitation of 104Sn: Moderate E2 strength decrease approaching 100Sn
NUCLEAR REACTIONS C, Pb(104Sn, 104Sn'), E=131 MeV/nucleon; C, Pb(112Sn, 112Sn'), E=154 MeV/nucleon, [secondary 104,112Sn beams from 9Be(124Xe, X), E=345 MeV/nucleon primary reaction]; measured Eγ, Iγ, scattered 104,112Sn spectra, σ(θ) for particles, inelastic cross sections for population of first 2+ states through intermediate-energy Coulomb excitation using DALI2 array for γ rays, BigRIPS and ZeroDegree spectrometers for reaction products at RIKEN facility. 104Sn; deduced levels, J, π, B(E2) for first 2+ state relative to that for 112Sn. Comparison with shell-model calculations, and with previous experimental results. Systematics of experimental and theoretical B(E2) values for first 2+ states in A=104-130 even-A Sn isotopes.
