RADIOACTIVITY 176Au(α)[from 141Pr(40Ca, 5n), E=208, 212 MeV using UNILAC and SHIP at GSI]; 172Ir(α)[from 176Au α parent]; measured Eα, Iα, Eγ, Iγ, αγ-, αα-coin; deduced branching ratios, hindrance factors, reduced α-decay widths, Q-values, GEANT simulations, new α decay branch for decay of high spin isomer of 172Ir. 172Ir, 168Re; deduced levels, isomers, J, π, multipolarity, configuration. 180Tl(α); discussed α decay results of experiment at ISOLDE-CERN facility. 168Re, 172Ir, 176Au; discussed general systematics of multiplet states, and calculated Nilsson orbitals for neutrons and protons for 172Ir and 176Au. Comparison with previous experimental results. 175Pt, 177Au(α); observed α.
