High-precision B(E2) measurements of semi-magic 58, 60, 62, 64Ni by Coulomb excitation

NUCLEAR REACTIONS C(58Ni, 58Ni'), (60Ni, 60Ni'), (62Ni, 62Ni'), (64Ni, 64Ni'), E=1.8 MeV/nucleon; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-, (scattered Ni particle)γ-coin, (carbon recoils)γ(θ) using CLARION array for γ rays and CsI crystals for particles at HRIBF-ORNL facility. Coulomb excitation. 58,60,62,64Ni; deduced E2 matrix elements for first 2+ to 0+ transitions, B(E2). Comparison with large-basis shell-model calculations, and with other experimental results. Systematics of B(E2) values for first 2+ states in N=28 even-A isotones.
