Centrifugal stretching from lifetime measurements in the ¹⁷⁰Hf ground state band

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹²⁴Sn(⁵⁰Ti, 4n), E=195 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, level-half-lives of ground-state band members by RDDS and DDCM method using the YRAST-Ball array and the New-Yale Plunger device at WNSL facility. ¹⁷⁰Hf; deduced levels, B(E2), transition quadrupole moments Q_t, centrifugal stretching. Comparison with the rigid rotor, and confined β-soft rotor model.
