Switch from short-axis to intermediate-axis rotation in ¹³⁸Nd

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE ¹³⁸Nd; analyzed triaxial high-spin levels, bands, configurations from experiments done at GASP facility published earlier; calculated energies of negative-parity configurations with four high-j particles, potential energy surfaces in (ϵ₂, γ) plan. Evidence of switching of rotation from short- to intermediate-axis. Comparison of triaxial band structures in ^138,139,140Nd with those in ^157,158Er, ¹⁶³Lu. Cranked Nilsson-Strutinski Bogoliubov (CNSB) formalism.
