Spectroscopy of excited states in ²³⁴U and search for a two-phonon state in ²³⁴U

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ²³⁵U(d, t), E=11 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, triton spectra, γγ-, tγ-coin, using MINIBALL array for γ rays and ΔE-E telescope for tritons at Cologne tandem accelerator facility. ²³⁴U; deduced levels, J, π, γ band and octupole band, B(E2) ratios. Discussed 2-phonon states in ²³⁴U and ²³²Th.
