Possible deformation evolution in the π i_13/2 structure of ¹⁷¹Re

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹²⁰Sn(⁵⁵Mn, 4n), E=257 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, three- and higher-fold coincidences, angular correlation ratios using Gammasphere array at ATLAS-ANL facility. ¹⁷¹Re; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, multipolarity, rotational bands, alignments, configurations, B(M1)/B(E2), moment of inertia plots. No evidence found for wobbling mode of excitation. Comparison with cranked shell-model calculations.
