Observation of an Airy minimum in elastic and inelastic scattering of ³He from ¹²C at 50.5 and 60 MeV, and α-particle condensation in ¹²C

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹²C(³He, ³He), (³He, ³He'), E=50.5, 60 MeV;measured particle spectra, energy loss, σ(θ, E) for Hoyle state and other levels. ¹²C; deduced levels, angular position of Airy minimum A1. Hoyle state interpreted as three α-particle condensate with dilute density. Coupled-channel analysis with double folding model.
