Investigation of 0+ states in 198Hg after two-neutron pickup

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 200Hg(p, t), E=25 MeV; measured E(t), I(t), σ(θ). 198Hg; deduced levels, J, π, L-transfer.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE 152,154,158Gd, 162Dy, 168Er, 170Yb, 176Hf, 180,184W, 192,194Pt, 198Hg; calculated densities of 0+ states using interacting boson model. Excited 0+ states interpreted as signature of shape-phase transitions. Comparison with experimental data.
