High-spin rotational bands in ¹²³I

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁸⁰Se(⁴⁸Ca, 4np)¹²³I, E=207 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin using Gammasphere array. ¹²³I; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, bands, alignments, configurations; calculated potential energy surface contours. Cranked Nilsson-Strutinsky model calculations.
