Spectroscopy of odd-mass cobalt isotopes toward the N=40 subshell closure and shell-model description of spherical and deformed states

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ²⁰⁸Pb, ²³⁸U(⁷⁰Zn, X)⁶¹Co/⁶²Co/⁶³Co/⁶⁴Co/⁶⁵Co/⁶⁶Co/⁶⁷Co/⁶²Fe/⁶⁴Ni/⁶⁶Ni, E=460 MeV; measured mass spectrum of cobalt isotopes, Eγ, Iγ, γγ-, (particle)γ-coin, γ(θ). ^{61,62,63,64,65,66,67}Co, ⁶²Fe, ^64,66Ni; deduced high-spin levels, J, π, isomeric states, deformation, configurations. Comparison with large-scale shell-model calculations in the fpgd model space. Shell evolution below ⁶⁸Ni and island of inversion around N=40. Systematics of first 9/2- and 11/2- states in ^{55,57,59,61,63,65,67}Co and first 2+ states in N=28-40 Ni isotopes. Discussed particle-phonon weak coupling.

NUCLEAR STRUCTURE ^61,63,65,67Co; calculated levels, J, π using large-scale shell model with LNPS interaction, and weak coupling model.
