High-spin states in odd-odd ¹⁷⁴Re

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁵²Sm(²⁷Al, 5n)¹⁷⁴Re, E=125, 132, 140 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, excitation functions, branching ratios, γγ-, (x ray)γ-coin, DCO and ADO ratios; ¹⁷⁴Re; deduced high-spin levels, rotational bands, J, π, moment of inertia plots, alignments, signature splittings, B(M1)/B(E2), configurations. Systematics of bandhead energies for Z=75 and N=99 isotopes of ^{171,173,175,177,179,181,183}Re, ¹⁶⁹Yb, ¹⁷¹Hf, ¹⁷³W, ¹⁷⁵Os, ¹⁷⁷Pt. Systematics of alignments and signature splittings for bands in ^172,173W, ^173,174Re. Comparison with shell-model and band-mixing calculations.
