Precision lifetime measurements of the first 2+ and 4+ states in 56Cr at the N = 32 subshell closure

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 48Ca(11B, 2np), E=32 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, half-lives by recoil-distance Doppler-shift method using Cologne plunger device, and EUROBALL cluster array. 56Cr; levels, J, π, B(E2). Comparison with Shell Model calculations. Systematics of first 2+ and B(E2) values in N=20-36 even-even Ca, Ti and Cr nuclei.
