Cross-shell excitations in ³⁰Al and ³⁰Si at high spin

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁴C(¹⁸O, X), E=37 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, (residual)γ-, γγ-coin, γ(θ), DCO ratios using the Gammasphere array and Fragment Mass Analyzer. ³⁰Al, ³⁰Si; deduced levels, J, π, multipolarities. Comparison with shell-model calculations.
