Centrifugal stretching along the ground state band of 168Hf

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 124Sn(48Ti, 4n), E=190 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, half-lives of g.s. band members using recoil-distance Doppler-shift method. 168Hf; deduced levels, J, π, B(E2). Comparison with predictions of geometrical confined β soft rotor model involving centrifugal stretching.
