NUCLEAR REACTIONS 197Au(α, 3n), E=40 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, E(CE), I(CE), γγ-, (ce)γ-coin. 198Tl; deduced levels, J, π, quasiparticle alignments, band configurations, B(E2), B(M1), chiral behaviour. Comparison with 2-quasiparticle plus triaxial rotor model calculations.
