Neutron-proton pairing competition in N = Z nuclei: Metastable state decays in the proton dripline nuclei ⁸²₄₁Nb and ⁸⁶₄₃Tc

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁹Be(¹⁰⁷Ag, X)⁸²Nb/⁸⁶Tc, E=750 MeV/nucleon; measured fragment and delayed γ spectra, (fragment)γ-coin. ⁸²Nb, ⁸⁶Tc deduced level energies, J, π, T_1/2, conversion coefficients. Deformation and K hindrance discussed.
