First investigation of excited states in the odd-proton nucleus ²⁰⁹Fr

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁷⁶Yb(³⁷Cl, 3n), (³⁷Cl, 4n), (³⁷Cl, 4np), E=173, 179, 185 MeV; measured prompt and delayed Eγ, Iγ, γγ-, (recoil)γ-coin; deduced excitation functions. ¹⁹⁷Au(¹⁶O, 4n), (¹⁶O, 3n), E=90 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin. ²⁰⁹Fr deduced levels, J, π, configurations, isomer T_1/2. ²⁰⁸Rn, ²¹⁰Fr deduced isomers T_1/2. Gas-filled spectrometer.
