Quadrupole Moment of the 11^- Intruder Isomer in ¹⁹⁶Pb and Its Implications for the 16^- Shears Band Head

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁸⁷Re(¹⁴N, 5n), E=87 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ(0°)/Iγ(90°) vs magnetic field strength following implantation on Re host. ¹⁹⁶Pb deduced high-spin magnetic moment, absolute value of quadrupole moment, shears bandhead quadrupole moment, deformation parameters. Level mixing spectroscopy technique, comparison with Tilted Axis Cranking model.
