Observation of the 22.5-keV Resonance in ¹⁴⁹Sm by the Nuclear Lighthouse Effect

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁴⁹Sm(γ, γ), E=22.5 keV; measured time spectrum of the delayed radiation scattered from a ¹⁴⁹Sm₂O₃ sample rotating at 15 kHz; deduced energy of the first excited state in ¹⁴⁹Sm by coherent nuclear resonant scattering. Synchrotron radiation. Nuclear light-house effect (NLE).
