Coupling Modes in Doubly Odd Nuclei: The case of 172Ta

NUCLEAR REACTIONS 159Tb(18O, 5n), E=93 MeV; 165Ho(12C, 5n), E=79 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, E(ce), I(ce), γγ-coin. 172Ta deduced high-spin levels, J, π, ICC, configurations, B(M1)/B(E2), rotational bands features. GASP array. Level systematics in neighboring nuclides discussed.
