Spectroscopy of the Proton Emitter ¹⁰⁹I

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁵⁴Fe(⁵⁸Ni, 2np), E=220 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin, (proton)γ-coin following recoil proton decay. ¹⁰⁹I deduced high-spin levels, possible J, π, configurations. Gammasphere array, fragment mass analyzer, recoil-decay tagging technique.
