High-K Structures and Triaxiality in ¹⁸⁶Os

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁷⁶Yb(¹⁴C, 4n), E=67 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin. ¹⁸⁶Os deduced high-spin levels, J, π, T_1/2, configurations, rotational bands, triaxial deformation. Band mixing analysis, comparison with blocked BCS and configuration-constrained potential energy surface caluculations. Nordball array.
