Superdeformed Triaxial Bands in ^163,165Lu

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹³⁸Ba(³¹P, 4n), E=155 MeV; ¹⁵⁰Sm(¹⁹F, 4n), E=95 MeV; measured Eγ, γγ-coin, Iγ. ¹⁶⁵Lu deduced high-spin levels, J, π, rotational band, superdeformed structure. Enriched target, array of Compton suppressed Ge-detectors. Calculation of superdeformed highly triaxial local minima in configuration separated total energy surfaces.
