Deformation-Driving Intruder States in f-p-g Shell Nuclei

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁵⁸Ni(²⁹Si, 2p2α), E=128 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-, (charged particle)γ-coin. ⁷⁷Kr deduced high-spin levels, J, π, configurations. ⁴⁸Ti(³⁰Si, n2p), E=95 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin. ⁷⁵Se deduced rotational bands. Gammasphere, microball, Pitt-FSU arrays. Deformation systematics in A ≈ 80 nuclides discussed.
