Superdeformation and Smooth Band Termination in A ∼ 60 Nuclei

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ⁴⁰Ca(²⁸Si, 2pα), (²⁸Si, 2α), E=125 MeV; ⁴⁰Ca(³²S, 3α), E=134 MeV; measured Eγ, Iγ, γγ-coin. ^60,62Zn deduced high-spin levels, J, π, band termination features. ⁶²Zn deduced superdeformed band. Gammasphere array.
