Recoil Distance Lifetime Measurements of States in the Oblate Dipole Bands of ^197,198Pb

NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹⁷⁶Yb(²⁶Mg, xn), E=125 MeV; ¹⁸⁶W(¹⁸O, xn), E=113 MeV; measured γγ-coin, DSA, Eγ. ^197,198Pb deduced high-spin levels B(λ), T_1/2, quadrupole moments, γ-branching ratio. Donau-Frauendorf model, tilted axis cranking model. Enriched targets, Ge detection, BGO suppression shields.
